Statement by Mahrez's wife on the plan to emigrate to Saudi Arabia

Football

Taylor Ward, model and wife of Al Ahly footballer Riyad Mahrez, has announced her decision to move to Saudi Arabia. This is due to the new opportunities and prospects the country offers for her career and personal development. Ward expressed her joy and excitement about this new stage of life and her hope to have a positive and inspiring experience in Saudi Arabia.

The move to Saudi Arabia happened so quickly that it surprised everyone

This whole week has been a rollercoaster of emotions. The shock was huge. We had originally planned for Riyadh to come back to City for pre-season training, then suddenly, that same evening, we decided to move to Saudi Arabia. He put me in touch with one of the girls at the club by phone and I couldn't stop crying. It all happened so quickly that I didn't even have a minute to say goodbye to everyone. It was unexpected and chaotic, but we boldly rushed into a new life, leaving the old one behind.

Man Citi

Saudi Arabia creates a completely different atmospheric backdrop. Everything is much calmer here, unlike Manchester, where life is hectic and there is always something going on. We often went out for dinner, met friends, and that's what I miss the most: communication with family and loved ones. Saudi Arabia has beautiful beaches, many shops and restaurants. I can't imagine what would make us move again. I am sure that I will stay in Jeddah in the near future, this is where I belong.

In this country the situation is much calmer and more moderate.

I am very lucky that my job allows me to travel freely. In that sense, nothing bothers me. I have always supported the idea that we should stay together as a family. Riyadh's football career is something temporary and I have always told him: "Listen, you have to make the most of it." Our current plan is to stay in Saudi Arabia for a few years and enjoy our time here. I say this with complete confidence. Life in Saudi Arabia is different to the one we experienced in Manchester. Here, everything is much calmer and more measured. Time passes more slowly here and we can enjoy every moment.

Love

However, of course, there are things I miss. First of all, it's my family and friends. We are far away from them, and this sometimes causes a feeling of melancholy. I miss talking to them, meeting them and having dinner together. But I try to take the time to make phone or video calls to stay in touch.

Saudi Arabia offers many wonderful places to visit. Here I found beautiful beaches, amazing shops and restaurants. I feel comfortable and happy with life here. At the moment I have no plans to move anywhere else. I can confidently say that I will stay in Jeddah for the foreseeable future.

Traveling will always be a part of our lives. I am happy that we can take advantage of this opportunity and explore new places together. We are making memories and doing it together as a family. I am grateful for everything we have and look forward to the future adventures that await us.
